I started reading and couldn't put the book down. It is such an easy read, but so inspiring. I laughed; I cried; I reflected on my own experiences with the loss of my Dad and Mom and the healing process related to both. Thank you, Monica, for sharing your pain and triumph!
Monica connects and shares in a very deep way with everyone she meets. This is with those she meets directly and with those she meets only through her books. I know her both ways and am thoroughly impressed.
I loved this book. Monica did a wonderful job on something that is very close to her heart and knowing the people involved even made this book that much better. I could not put it down and I know a bunch of other people who really liked it also. We have recommended it to people that are having problems dealing with people that they have lost.
Monica allows us as readers to join her on a very personal journey of loss and friendship. As I read this book, I found many connections to losses I've had and found healing in the process too. But, I expected that. Monica is a great writer and has a way of pulling you into a story even when the topic is difficult.
What I didn't expect was the myriad of insights I received on how I could interact differently, better, with people that are still here. For all of that I am grateful.
